Participation means mentorship, says Foundation Board President Dr. Roy Weiner, the associate dean for clinical research and training at Tulane University Health Sciences Center. "The internship exposes promising young men and women to the possibility of a career in science, but perhaps even more importantly, it provides the students with the lifelong benefits of a mentor-mentee experience."
New Orleans Outreach seeks hosts and sponsors for next summer's internships. For information, call the Foundation at (504) 324-7045.
