Sci High wins $50,000 to help students with disabilities
Jan 17, 2013
Sci High has won $50,000 in funding from Louisiana's Believe and Include grant initiative, which is designed to increase academic performance for students with disabilities and help them achieve proficiency on the more rigorous Common Core State Standards.
Each Believe and Include application had to include no less than three schools, so Sci High partnered with Morris Jeff, McDonogh City Park and Andrew H. Wilson as the CAMS Consortium. Each school in the consortium will use blended learning programs that incorporate additional technology into the classroom, job-embedded professional development for staff, and regular program review by special education staff to achieve an effective inclusive environment for students with disabilities.
